Book Review: Orientals: Asian Americans in Popular Culture

29 Oct 2009 11:21 PM

My last blog wondered about the impact of anti-immigrant feelings, worsened by economic conditions, on international adoptees and their families. In that blog, I quoted from the book Orientals: Asian Americans in Popular Culture.

An Alternative (Please!) to the Adoption of the Month Club

Confessions of a Foodie Mom: Food as Atmosphere?

12 Oct 2009 10:46 PM

Last night I had dinner at my parents' house, along with my husband and kids, my sister and her husband and kids, and my aunt. There were 13 of us in all. Italian food is Mom's specialty, what I remember from growing up. I'm allergic to perfumes and fragrances. (This is relevant, really.

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley's Bundle of Joy
