Today is bittersweet for me. I've been a blogger on Families.com for two years and two months. I started out in Media, added Movies, added LDS, then went to just LDS and Media, then went to LDS and Weight Loss. I've had so much fun and met so many wonderful people, readers and bloggers alike.

One of the sisters in our ward had a baby recently. She lives in a lovely house, has a handsome husband, and she herself looks like a model. She put on very little weight during the pregnancy and now, although the baby is only weeks old, she is thin and gorgeous.

Wow, that sounds like fun! Let's all go up a size in our clothing without gaining any weight. That's exactly what has happened with many major clothing retailers. They have taken the sizes and shifted them a little bit. Where 18-20W used to be 1X, it's now 2X.

Wasn't last week's general conference wonderful? I love the spirit it always brings into our home and appreciate the things we learn. One of our high councilmen made the comment last month that general conference gives us our marching orders for the next six months.

I am constantly amazed at the things we as human beings will go through to try to lose weight. Being overweight drains us emotionally and physically, it drags down our self-esteem, it keeps us from doing everything we'd like to, and it's just so hard to overcome.
